Grown Ups 2
March 13, 2013
Let the fun begin......

Looks like the movie is scheduled for July 12th. I play "Kitty" .....David Spade's girlfriend. Visit IMDB for full cast. And no Rob Schneider is NOT in the movie and YES it's going to be even better without him. No offense Rob. A full cast of amazing actors and such an amazing experience. Excited and nervous at the same time. If you can't make fun of yourself (especially next to Adam Sandler) then what's the point. Enjoy!
March 10, 2013

Lost in the world of normalcy for the last 12 months. My last entry was pre contest before my pro debut. Feels a little "off" to say Pro Debut since I attempted the Women's Physique Division the first time on a pro stage. Needless to say, it was a fun adventure. Not one that I'll be revisiting any time soon though.

In the interim, that same physique and charming personality landed me a role in an Adam Sandler movie: GrownUps 2 (to be released in May/June 2013)
My role is Kitty as David Spade's girlfriend. Definitely a fun learning experience. Met a lot of really amazing people in which I remain in contact on a regular basis.

Looking to do more blogging so stay tuned.

January 1, 2012
Here we go again.......

It's show time. But this time I'm excited to present a "different me"

Women's Physique i come
Assume what you want, think all you can, pretend to know the outcome of what's to be perceived. BUT
I'll be first to say Expect the Unexpected

My motto and drive for this new division and challenge is to SET THE STANDARD.  Spectators and Judges will either love it or hate it but no matter the outcome.....I'm having fun with it!

My Pro Debut and first Women's Physique appearance will be at Jon Lindsey's Grand Prix on April 14th.

I have 2 other shows picked but TBD......
IM BACK!!!!!!!!!
November 15, 2011
So I took some time off and experienced some "me" time. It's crazy how you fall into a routine and contentment then realize that you've missed out on so much stuff.
I use the term "stuff" as I have no regrets in all the years of my competing.  I've never made ANY decision nor choice that I later wish I hadn't.  I have realized that my priorities have changed and there is a lot more to life than chicken/broccoli and training.

Now, I'm not insinuating that I'm done competing, rather than just explaining my lack of presence the past year.  Some of you may follow me on FACEBOOK or TWITTER and I appreciate the support as always. Stay tuned to 2012 as there may be an appearance (on stage) SHHHH!!!!

Coming off a LONG weekend. Worked at the Natural Product Expo West in which a bodybuilding athlete doesn't typically fit in with the tree hugging - nut and berry people.  Good times with the Europa family though. Phil Koeghan, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Montel Williams were present.  Each celebrity with their own unique product.

Phil Keoghan - NOW Energy Bar. "No Opportunity Wasted"
Gluten free, all natural,  and sustained energy from Manuka Honey

Elisabeth Hasselbeck - NoGii Bars
High protein, Gluten Free Bar. Taste amazing and coming soon: Kids NoGii

Montel Williams - Fuel of Life
Launching a Vitamin Pak and Super Foods: Hemp Protein, Montel's line was formulated to fit the specific needs for living well from nature.

December 31, 2010

It's been an eventful year. I'd like to think I'm finishing out the year with random thoughts and activities.

If you think back in time….how much have you changed? How much wiser have you become?

If you think to the future and what may or may not unfold…….who's to say the fork in the round turns into a spoon. Or maybe a whisk.

Meaning: 5 years ago, I was not the person I am today. Who I am now, is not the person I will be 5 years from now.  At this point in my life, I feel that I'm having another "growth spurt".  Thoughts, decisions, future goals, priorities, interests, etc (the list never ends) seem to be running through my head ALL the time.  And yet I don't really have an answer for any of them.  I don't know if I'm the only one but its this time that i re-evaluate everything and question which direction I want to take my life.

Not to say it's a bad thing, but what I call a "growing stage".  I know I've grown wiser in the last few years for the simple reason that this "growing stage" would have been mistaken for Lost or Confused.

I'm really excited about the things I want to accomplish for 2011 and what I want to prepare for in 2012.  I've feel I've run the hamster wheel for the last 9yrs and it's time for some change. Or at least some new spice.

A year in review....actually, let's go back 2 years:

~I turned 30

~Employeed for an amazing company Europa Sports Products

~Relocated across country to LA, CA

~Turned IFBB Pro

~Became NPC Judge

~Activities: NFL games, indoor sky diving, Ate BY MYSELF at a restaurant and went to a movie (LOL), roller skating, HIked,  concerts

2011… be continued

So here's the latest:

If you're following me on Twitter or Facebook, I'm sure you read that I went roller skating. And thanks to my mom, she posted a picture of me when I was little doing the "limbo" on skates. Now, not many know this and I'm not sure if I should admit this BUT, I did make the Guinness Book of World Records for limbo on skates under 6".  Yes I'm serious and I placed 3rd and NO I won't be trying that again.
The roller skating is leading up to something for 2011 or 2012.  We'll see what happens and I'll be sure to keep you posted. You're gonna love it!!!!!!

Prior to my skating adventures last week, I did get approved to become an NPC Judge.  So next year, if you're in the area, I'll be judging the west coast shows in SoCal that you can find listed on

The Holidays are approaching and hope every one is ready to bring in the New Year!

I'm starting my list of accomplishments or activities so email me on what you might like to see. And please, no weird stuff!

Spontaneity is the word for the weekend!
–noun, plural -ties.
1. the state, quality, or fact of being spontaneous.
2. spontaneous activity.
3. spontaneities, spontaneous impulses, movements, or actions

I decided to drive up to San Francisco. Arriving late Friday night checking into the Ritz Carlton

8:00am Woke up - headed straight to Starbucks
10:00am Trained at Gold's Gym on Brannan St.
1:00pm Lunch at Sushi Rock
3:30pm Nap time (gotta love 'em on a cold rainy day)
7:00pm Dinner @ Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (my favorite)

GO BUCCS!!! Tampa played the 49er's and YES they won if you don't follow.
Left a little early to drive home and coming across the Grapevine saw the first "snow cap mountains" of the year. Temperature went from 39 to 64 within 30 min. GOTTA LOVE CALI!!!!!

Tonight Show with Jay Leno
November 16, 2010
If you ever get a chance to visit LA, I would suggest the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Tickets are free and it honestly was a fun time. Didn't realize it was going to take such a long time but it was worth it. Especially with a free gift box of 6 Lip Gloss tubes for all the ladies.....sorry guys.

~We arrived at 2:15pm (call time is 2:30pm).
~We entered gates 30 people at a time.  Once we were in parking lot, we sat on benches as we waited to enter studio. It was about 3:30pm when we got to our seats for the taping.
~Show was over around 5pm and they were nice enough to have a gift for all the ladies as you exited the building. I would definitely go back.

A trip to the LA Zoo
November 15, 2010

People like animals for different reasons.
~Some of us like them because we feel we can afford to be friendly

~There are some that need that feeling of superiority and the feeling of dominance towards the animals, who are considered dumb and helpless.

~There are those of us who love animals because we look for some kind of unconditional affection and loyalty from someone. We do not usually find that kind of loyalty among our human friends. All of us usually have some other motive for everything we do in our lives, and so we turn to the animals.

~There are those who love animals simply because they are what they are. They have an innocence about them that is immediately appealing and soothing. The innocence is what draws us to them. They are beautiful creatures, without the corruption that the ability to think and discriminate brings to our minds. They love us irrespective of who we are, what we do, and how we act. That kind of acceptance is something we all yearn for, and that is what draws us to animals.

pro·cras·ti·nate   [proh-kras-tuh-neyt, pruh-] ,  -nat·ed, -nat·ing.
–verb (used without object)
to defer action; delay: to procrastinate until an opportunity is lost.
–verb (used with object)
to put off till another day or time; defer; delay.

"Time is an equal opportunity employer.....
Each human being has exactly the same number of hours and minutes every day.
~Rich people can't buy more hours.
~Scientists can't invent new minutes.
~And you can't save time to spend it on another day.
Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving. No matter how much time you've wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow."
Denis Waitley

But on the flip side, as we procrastinate we put on hold what we would have accomplished within that or those moments; hens moving on to the next adventure within the next minute, the next hour, and/or the next day. Refer to the blog below: BOREDOM! The longer we procrastinate, the possibility and outcome of boredom prevails. GET R DONE AND GET R DONE NOW!

Tournament of Champions
September 11, 2010
So I'm considering becoming an NPC judge. Possibly and potentially an IFBB Pro judge (that takes a while though)
I had my first test judge at the 2010 Tournament of Champions today.  I have to admit, it was interesting. I think I enjoyed it but I became a little cross eyed at about the 3rd hour when we almost finished up with the figure and bikini. And yes I judged the bikini. Now keep in mind that this was a "test" judge so my scoring didn't count. With all due respect to the bikini girls as I know it was hard work finding shoes and the proper earrings to match the swimsuit, but I honestly couldn't figure out how to judge them.
The show went well and a good turn out. I'm looking forward to learning the specifics and details in what the judges look for and how they judge in large numbers. It's harder than it looks and can see where the controversial issues come into play (from all aspects: judges, athletes, and spectators)
Visit to see SoCal shows that i will be attending/test judging.  The next 3-4 SoCal shows.

Also, 1.5 weeks out from the big Olympia, next week in Vegas. If you make it to the show and visit the expo, please stop by the Europa booth and say Hi. I'll be there all day on Saturday.
X Games
July 30, 2010
Attended my first X Games. AMAZING! and can I say that Pastrana is RIDICULOUS!!!!!
I also didn't realize that they had a division for the disabled. It's called Adaptive Sports.  Adaptive athletes compete in Moto X Super X Adaptive and the Skateboard Park Adaptive Jam with both wheelchairs and skateboards.

Venice Summerfest
July 26, 2010
Sat and Sunday is the annual Venice Summer Festival
At Venice/Muscle Beach, a festival of vendors, food, entertainment, and this year there was arm wrestling.
It seems that each weekend I'm working some event out here and it's funny that the homeless is starting to be-friend me.
Saturday was an interesting day to say the least. Not to bore you with the details so here's the synopsis:
~Pick up at 7am
~Sitting in line to unload gear for an hr
~Meter maid kicked us out before we could unload: got into with her in the car and in person (SHe did apologize)
~Left Santa Monica to drive in LA traffic downtown to pick up UPS packages needed for a movie premier. The packages were there but they didn't know where so they wouldn't let me take them.
~Stopped and bought cases of water for staff at event
~Dropped water off at booth before parking 1.5 mi away
~$50 parking ticket
~Parked 1.5mi away and walked back to event
~worked til 5pm
~Walked 1.5mi BACK to get car and load
~Cab driver almost t-boned me and then yelled at me....THE NERVE. But when he called me an ugly inappropriate name, I got out and confronted him. To say the least, I think he clocked out to change his pants.
~2 blocks from dropping friend off, cops pulled over for talking on phone while driving (illegal in cali).....HA, got outta that one too!
~Got home and crashed at 9pm
Sunday: repeat (without all the issues)

SO......Can i say that I"M BEAT!!!!!!!
Work on Monday. Never a dull moment.

A whole new level....

So I've built this machine and not really sure of the capabilities it has. As a bodybuilder, we spend so much time on sculpting and perfecting how our bodies appear, it's rare that you see how it performs.
Bodybuilder = Aesthetics, Manifestation
Powerlifter = Strength, Power
Athlete = Physical Agility, Skill

Extreme Athlete = Aesthetics/Manifestation, Strength/Power, Physical Agility and Skill COMBINED

I had my first training session with Scott Marshall, former competitive bodybuilder
Scott and Debbie have built a training facility that will take anyone's training abilities to unlimited capabilities.
Runyon Canyon
June 14, 2010
The weekend has come and gone....all too quick!
I adventured out and in quest to find who I am at this point of my life, I'm trying new things. It's funny how we sub-conciously tend to fall within our comfort zone and forget to venture out from our daily routines.  I read a quote the other day that has stuck with me......"Life begins when we step outside of our comfort zone".
It made me think of everything that I have done/accomplished and everything that I want to do and haven't done. Living in LA has so much to offer and I have NO IDEA what I even like to do....other than the obvious. Although working out and training has made me who I am today, I feel that LIFE has more to offer. I'm from a small town in the  Southeast that has little to no culture options. For some, that's ok.  For me? I need more!
(LOL! It sounds a little cheesy but who cares)

That being said, I am re-evaluating my priorities to decide what I want the next phase of my life to be.

Starting with the little stuff....
I've never hiked before. I visited Runyon Canyon on Saturday.  Took what I thought was the easy road. PFT! It was harder than I thought.
California weather will make anyone want to be outside so i went back on Sunday.  I saw a small little trail that many people (of all ages and sizes) where taking. Even the old and young dogs. I figured it couldn't be that hard. Needless to say, it was practically Rock Climbing! HOLY S**T! One of the best cardio workouts. And I'm NOT a fan of cardio! By the time I got home, my glutes felt like I went through an extensive and intense leg workout with my trainer Tony. Those of you who have trained with him know what I'm feeling.

As for the coming weekend, yes I'll return but after I visit Big Bear Lake for a Biker Event.  There will be more on that later. Should be interesting!

Flex Wheeler
May 15, 2010
First off, my apologies for not updating lately.
Work has had me so busy and I have neglected everything else. Those of you who have followed me closely know that my job/career is very important to me so I give it my 100% attention.  In addition, I apparently can't multi task either. (That's a lil humor but a lil truth as well)
Last week I had the pleasure to work closely with Flex Wheeler and help promote his supplement line All American EFX.
If you're not familiar with his signature series, please check it out. Definitely has my seal of approval and recommendation.

On a side note, a very close friend of mine is visiting this week from Jacksonville. Never a dull moment with her so I'll be sure to update our exciting adventures over the weekend.

April 5, 2010

Boredom is an emotional state experienced during periods lacking activity or when individuals are uninterested in the opportunities surrounding them.

There’s one thing you have to fear, more than fear itself: BOREDOM

Boredom is nearly useless.  The only thing boredom does is to remind you that you are letting life slip by you.  Boredom is what you regret spending time on, every time. Worse yet, the more boredom you have in your life, the more boring you are as a person.  And nothing can kill an opportunity then by actually being downright… boring.

Frankly, boredom will keep your lazy ass in doors.   It’ll keep you from going to the gym.  It’ll keep you from trying new events.  It’ll keep you from traveling around the world.  Or staying in that crappy job because it pays the bills.

No one talks about the boring times they’ve spent, why?  Because it’s boring to hear it.   Frankly, boredom will drain your life away.  You should fear that above all else!!!

So I propose the next time you are out, and you start rooting into the floor with fear that the “timing” isn’t right to talk to a group of guys/girls, decide right there that of all the things you could be, you are not going to boring.  You will not be lame!

Then just go and blow the damn set up, simply to see what happens.  It’ll be far more entertaining that just standing around doing nothing.   I’ll take risk of a momentarily bruised ego for getting shot down, than boredom any day.  It’s frankly a lot safer.

PS....I appreciate those of you concerned about my "spellcheck" but I wanted to update everyone on a previous post: Dave Bautista's name is in fact spelled with a "U".  Not many people know this but WWE decided to leave out the U to make it easier for the public. Hence, I spelled both ways in my blog.

***Just a tid bit of info fo ya! ;P

Lunch w/ Bautista
March 23, 2010
It's always great to visit with good friends. In this particular case, paparazzi caught us (Dave Bautista, Jovan, Maurice, and myself) having lunch at Sauce .
It was quit an event when WWE Batista scared the living PISS out of one of the camera men. They didn't catch the exact moment but let me tell you, he jumped about 50 feet.
Dave is a GREAT guy and always takes care of his friends. It's never a dull moment when he's around, especially when his "boyz" are around. Yeah that's you Jovan!!!

Random thoughts on thoughts
March 21, 2010

" Your thoughts are the most powerful tool that you have, and can create so many things in your life. They can open up doorways you never thought possible. Your thoughts can be positive or they can be negative. They can be bad or good. They can be about success, or failure, or about being wealthy in life, or being of poor circumstances. Your thoughts are, what you choose them to be. The most important thing of all, is that you recognize and understand, that you are guided and directed by your thoughts. They play a tremendous role in your day to day life, and in reality, a huge role in who you are today. Today, and in the future, think thoughts that will shape you into who you only dream of being. Your thoughts will direct you to where you want to go, and your action behind your thoughts will take you there."

I sit here now and start analyzing my thoughts.  I feel like my thoughts turn into doubt and worry.  So instead of asking these questions, I answer them; It's not about what I don't have or what I haven't gotten.  I ask one simple question....What do I want NEXT out of life?

Dream a better dream, then work to make it Real!

March 8, 2010
Well, where to begin? First off, I want to apologize for launching my site then "launching my disappearance"!
I'm finally back and will try to keep the updates coming! Those of you that have purchased photos, they will be mailed out this week.

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes and gifts!  All of you are amazing!

I did take a weekend trip to San Francisco.  It was a great visit. A little short but long at the same time.

4:30am Woke up
6:00am Arrived at friend's house...... "Kathy"- she also babysits China
6:30am Starbucks
9:30am Gas station (half way to SF)-Kathy realizes she left her purse at Starbucks (with EVERYTHING in it). We call FedEx, spoke with Buzz in Dallas location to schedule a pick up to overnight to our hotel in SF. He was so nice and helpful! It's always good to "politely" speak with the manager.
10:00 - 2:00pm LOST-I decided to take a cat nap and was awakened to "S**T: Recalculating". That's Kathy cussing and the GPS reconfiguring....3x's LOL!
3:30pm Arrived to SF. What was suppose to take 6hrs eventually turned into 9hrs.

Once we checked into hotel, we walked to the Wharf, shopped a little, watched a great acrobatic performance on the street, and ate dinner.

7-8:00am Woke up
Basically waited until 12noon for kathy's purse to arrive (while missing Alcatraz pre-paid tour)
12:00pm Kathy got her purse and all was good.

Can't quite remember what we did during the day but met a friend Nick for afternoon lunch.  We visited with his babies....Seven, Teddy, and my fav Roxy (2 pitt bulls and Roxy the Rottie).  After that we had dinner at Nick's friend's house. Met great people and had an awesome time.

Breakfast at a cute little restaurant (I gotta get better at the name thing-check my twitter) and met Terri and Larry. If anyone knows where to get the Pittsburg Steeler hat with all the Super Bowls on it, please let me know. It's a bet I have.

We finally left SF at 2:30pm. I DROVE. Kathy wanted to detour and take the long way home down the 101 so i drove. Now, that means the drive was suppose to take 7hrs.  Yes i have a heavy leg so we made it in 6hrs.  I don't think Kathy's car has ever seen those numbers before!

All in All.....a fun weekend. Next city of adventure.......NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!

It's Friday night and I'm learning how to check my emails....
January 29, 2010
So the website is off to a good start. With the exception of my computer crashing the day it went live. Bare with me as I just bought a MAC yesterday (after being without a computer for a week). Those of you that own a MAC computer, I should of opted for the One-To-One training class. LOL! They are waaaay different than PC's.  I'm lovin it though.

Make sure to pick up a copy of the latest Muscular Development issue. My boy Cedric McMillan is on the cover and the MD staff has been VERY optimistic and proactive in giving me a 4 page spread. Cheri Owens did an amazing job on the interview and of course Per Bernal's photos are phenomenal!!! I hope you like it.
That being said, at any time you are a fan of ANY coverage that we (the women of this sport) get, please take the time to write, comment on the forums, email the staff and let them know.  As much as we appreciate the feedback directly, if the editors don't hear it or see it in the numbers, our exposure and coverage will continue to diminish.

On a lighter note, IT'S THE WEEKEND! Relax! Enjoy yourself! If you're going to work, then work your ass off and make it worth it!
